Metwin offer a comprehensive service for residential external and internal steel windows and doors, from initial design and specification, to final installation and fitting, all carried out by our expert team.
We are an Approved Distributor and installer of Crittall Windows, one of the best and steel window ranges available on the market.
Crafted in the UK for over 160 years using traditional methods, Crittall Windows is world renowned for its quality frames and ironmongery, which are available in either traditional or contemporary styles.
For residential projects there are four main designs available:
Leaded lights are popular in very old properties and comprise of small panes of glass held together by lead canes. Today we can closely match the look and feel of traditional leaded lights using a double glazed version for improved sound proofing and insulation.
Horizontal bar windows are synonymous with the Art Deco movement of the 1920s and 30s. Crittall’s double glazed heritage bar steel window system accurately mimic the typical Art Deco design but with added modern features.
Georgian small pane windows are typical of the English cottage style. Again, we personalise Crittall’s double glazed heritage bar steel window system to match the look of the traditional design.
Full or large pane frames are more modern in style and are commonly found in post WWII properties. For these properties, Crittall’s Homelight range provides maximum daylight due to their small profile design but are also extremely hardwearing.
Metwin offer supply only or supply and installation services on all of the above styles and all our installations are backed by a 10 year insurance guarantee.
